Scope of this Position

  • This position is responsible for providing thought leadership and strategy within the User Experience practice as well as establishing long-term partner relationships with LDS clients.
  • In preparing for this role, the candidate will have worked in a consulting environment for a minimum of seven years.
  • The role requires an in-depth knowledge of user experience solutions as part of an overall business strategy in the B2E environment.
  • This position reports to the Director, User Experience from a discipline perspective and to the client Executive Sponsor from an engagement perspective.

Job Requirements

Technical Requirements:

  • Consult with existing clients and support the acquisition of new clients by promoting the value of user research and information architecture in project and business development contexts.
  • Lead and grow existing client relationships and account teams.
  • Facilitate subject matter interviews and other structured information gathering sessions with executives and senior management in Fortune 500 firms.
  • Produce detailed user experience strategy documents in support of enterprise and process portal initiatives.
  • Demonstrate success in developing user experience strategies and managing complex projects.
  • Ability to innovate and structure complex solutions within the context of web and portal development.
  • Proficiency with modeling processes, scenarios, business and workflow knowledge, functional requirements and design specifications
  • Knowledge of enablers and constraints of technologies for web and portal development.
  • Support business development initiatives through speaking engagements, webinars, and thought leadership collateral.

Consulting Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills with executive and C-level constituents; presentation, facilitation, oral, written, listening and conflict resolution.
  • Enthusiastic about assuming responsibility and accountability.
  • Flair for evaluating alternatives and deciding on a plan of action.
  • Adept at critical and creative thinking.
  • Leadership abilities, across the client enterprise and in a multiple project environment, which influences clients, team members, and key stakeholders.
  • Expert in planning and management of detail project plans and diverse teams.
  • Experience with knowledge management, business transformation and change management.

Education:

  • Master's degree – Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • Ph.D. a plus!

Location: Morristown, NJ or New York City

Travel: Travel to client sites expected (approximately 30%), trade shows and sales prospects as needed.
