Scope of this Position

  • This position will carry out user research and perform user analysis to create solution design, deployment, adoption planning and assessment.
  • In preparing for this role, the candidate will have worked as a consultant for a minimum of five years within corporate environments.
  • The role requires you to engage in projects are large, complex B2E applications and solutions and the user experience value proposition.
  • The position reports to the Director, User Experience from a discipline perspective and the Project Manager from an engagement perspective.

Job Requirements

Technical Requirements:

  • Apply focused user research, modeling and assessment techniques to discover and analyze business and user requirements.
  • Use iterative design techniques to translate findings into a solid solution model, information architecture, and design.
  • Plan and execute a range of user assessment methods and tools including contextual inquiries, iterative design based on user feedback, heuristic analysis, and participatory design exercises.
  • Design and test low and high fidelity technology solution prototypes.
  • Plan and execute assessment strategies to measure solution adoption in the form of desired behavioral and attitudinal outcomes: scenario analysis and survey design.
  • Consult with clients, team members, stakeholders and internal leadership.
  • Continuously improve on user experience methods, tools, intellectual capital and reusable assets that improve our methodology and sustain our competitive advantage.

Consulting Requirements:

  • Have exceptional communication skills: presentation, facilitation, oral, written, listening and conflict resolution.
  • Organize and lead teams in accordance with established project initiatives and be able to quickly evaluate alternatives.
  • Exhibit project leadership that effects influence with clients, team members, stakeholders and LDS leadership for successful outcomes.

Education:

  • Minimum – B.S. degree in Human-Computer Interaction.
  • Masters degree preferred in Human-Computer Interaction, behavioral and social sciences, interaction design, or related field.

Location: Morristown, NJ or New York City

Travel: Travel to client sites expected (approximately 30%), trade shows and sales prospects as needed.
