LDS is product and platform agnostic, and our extensive experience with web and portal work has given us both wide and deep visibility and experience with every major portal platform and component, including SAP NetWeaver® Portal and Microsoft SharePoint®.

Typically, our CIO clients have determined (or are in the process of elaborating) their strategic enterprise architecture standards and associated platforms. They include significant and well-known portal platforms, content management solutions, collaborative environments, and portal tools and digital resources. Since we implement many of the solutions that we envision and design for our clients, we are experts in these technologies.

Even if we are not implementing a portal solution, though, our clients expect us to be familiar with all of these environments and toolsets, and deeply knowledgeable on how these products constrain and impact our ability to envision and design an optimal business solution and user experience. Further, we use this knowledge to consider, early in our engagements, the implied impact of our designs on ongoing governance and the IT costs to maintain and upgrade the solution going forward.

As the market for portal infrastructure tools has converged over the last decade, most enterprises have solidified strategic technical partnerships with just a few vendors such as SAP, IBM, Microsoft, and Oracle, as the keystones of their portal platform. And, as our clients' need to support a growing mobile workforce grows, these vendors are evolving their platforms to include offerings that address mobile solutions enabling multi-channel access of portal content. As a result, we invest in ongoing partnerships and relationships with these key portal and content management vendors to ensure our technical competencies lead the Enterprise Portal industry.
