Making Sales Portals Work

LDS sees significant opportunities to use process portals with CRMs to streamline sales processes. Taking a process portal approach helps close gaps and misalignments in existing CRM transactions. Follow these steps to ensure success:
  • Inventory what kinds of assets you have and how they align to user needs under each process area/goal.
  • Factor in what you currently have ready for the portal, what is available in some other form but needs to be repurposed, and what doesn't yet exist, but should.
  • Organize portal pages in an easy-to-use navigation scheme that makes sense to the full spectrum of your different sales team's (customer-facing, internal or administrative) work.
By being organized around sales processes below, the sales portal helps the user achieve his or her goals.
