User Adoption Model
LDS has developed a user adoption model, one that takes the user from a detached observer of the online channel to a fully-integrated participant. The typical enterprise portal user travels a path that tends to start with awareness, as he or she initially uses the online channel to gain information. Traversing barriers often raised by poor communication, non-existant or ineffective training and a lack of attention to usability issues, the user integrates the portal into his or her day-to-day life. The portal becomes an important part of how the user gets things done.
