LDS has developed a User Adoption Model that moves users from being detached observers of the online channel to fully-integrated participants. The typical Enterprise Portal users travel a path that tends to start with awareness, as they initially use the online channel to gain information. Traversing barriers often raised by poor communication, non-existent or ineffective training and a lack of attention to usability issues, users integrate the portal into their daily routine. The portal becomes an important part of how they effectively perform their job.
