As a Senior Experience Designer, you eat, sleep and breathe digital-first design. You’re passionately creative and have a solid understanding of your clients’ challenges. You’re an advocate for consumer-grade experiences and have the confidence to convey those practices to internal teams and clients. You keep current on the latest design trends and techniques in the industry and you’re not afraid to ask questions to get to the heart of the “Who, what, why” in order to develop an empathetic understanding of the solution. You’re confident leading design discussions and have capacity to show traceability and clear shaping of observations into actionable insights and recommendations for our clients.

Your Success

As part of the design innovation team, an LDS Senior Experience Designer:

  • Brings seven to ten years of hands-on interaction and visual design experience and a deep analytical approach to designing responsive sites, products and mobile apps
  • Is accustomed to contributing in multiple roles and is comfortable working in cross-discipline, collaborative team and client environments
  • Translates business requirements into thoughtful design principles and experience frameworks
  • Conceptualizes complex user experience paradigms across platforms and devices by leveraging site metrics, business intelligence, constituent data, customer input, and scenario contexts
  • Possesses excellent visualization capabilities with attention to detail and brings these concepts to life through iterative clickable prototypes
  • Conducts usability testing sessions as a means to validate designs, capture constituent feedback and inform future design iterations and enhancements
  • Has deep expertise in the use of the industry’s top design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Sketch, and Axure
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues and clients, specifically senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Challenges and inspires other design team members to continually to innovate and raise the bar
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in art, design or related fields
  • Has a portfolio that demonstrates a design thought process

Bonus Points for:

  • Previous client-facing consulting experience
  • Experience with enterprise platform design strategies
  • A master’s degree or advanced degree in a related field

LDS project teams:

  • Are groups of multi-disciplined consultants including experience designers, content strategists, business analysts, architects, and technologists who collaborate intensely on every phase of a solution, from initial strategy to execution
  • Apply industry and LDS best practices to bridge clients’ strategic business goals and user needs across digital platforms
  • Work closely with client stakeholders, including C-suite executives
  • Are active members in the design community and within the company by contributing ideas and thought leadership on innovation, design methodology and best practices
